I am a recent graduate of The New School’s Graduate Program in International Affairs, where my research focused on dominant narratives about Africa and Africans (re)produced across various mediums in the U.S. and on the resulting sociopolitical effects of those narratives. I am currently a part of the group blog "Africa is a Country," where I write about Africa at the intersection of politics and popular culture.
